Mining in ATM10 goes far beyond vanilla. You can access a dedicated Mining Dimension with 37+ ore types, mine unique materials like Allthemodium, Vibranium, and Unobtainium, and use specialized tools that double your output. This guide covers every ore source, the best tools, and the full material progression.
Allthemodium Progression
The three ATM-exclusive materials form the endgame progression path. Each one unlocks access to a new dimension and better gear:

Allthemodium Upgrade Kit
Found in suspicious clay near Deep Dark portals. Use a brush to excavate it. The Deep Dark is easiest to find with a Nature's Compass.Vibranium Upgrade Kit

The Mining Dimension is a flat, dedicated world with every ore type in the pack. It is the best place to mine in ATM10.
How to Access It
Step 1: Find Allthemodium ore in the Deep Dark biome (Overworld). It glows in the dark, making it easy to spot. Use Nature's Compass to locate a Deep Dark biome.
Step 2: Mine the Allthemodium with a netherite-tier pickaxe or the Steam Drill.
Step 3: Craft a Teleport Pad using Allthemodium nuggets.
Step 4: Place the Teleport Pad in the Overworld. Sneak right-click with empty hands to teleport to the Mining Dimension.
Mining Dimension Ore Distribution
The Mining Dimension has 4 layers, each with different ores. The best Y level for general mining is ~Y112 where you can find allthemodium alongside coal, diamonds, copper, gold, iron, lapis, and redstone.

Important: Hostile mobs do not naturally spawn in the Mining Dimension. Dreadful Dirt also does not work here. It is a safe mining environment.

Ore Doubling Methods
Getting twice (or more) the output from your ores is essential in ATM10:
Ore Hammer
Cheapest method. Hit raw ore with a copper/iron/platinum ore hammer to get 2 dust. Smelt dust into ingots. Works on every ore type.Mekanism 5x Processing
The ultimate ore multiplication. Start with basic enrichment (2x), upgrade through purification (3x), injection (4x), to dissolution (5x). Requires significant infrastructure but gives 5 ingots per raw ore.Create Blast Setup

Glows in the dark. Overworld: Deep Dark biome and Ancient Cities. Mining Dimension: Stone and Deepslate layers. Use Nature's Compass to find Deep Dark biomes.Osmium
