These tips are all verified and tested in ATM10. Whether you just started or are grinding toward the ATM Star, there is something here for you. Organized by category so you can jump straight to what matters.
Mining and Resources
Ultramine Shapes
Hold Shift + Tilde (~) + Scroll Wheel to change vein mining shape. Options include shapeless (default), mining tunnel (staircase down), large tunnel, and more. Each shape breaks up to 64 connected blocks.Copper Ore Hammer
Doubles all raw ore drops. Hit raw ore with the hammer to get 2 dust, then smelt the dust into ingots. Upgrade to Platinum Ore Hammer for better durability. Works on every ore in the pack.Steam Drill
From Modern Industrialization. Never breaks, has silk touch toggle, mines 3x3, and is powered by coal + a bucket of water in your inventory. Can mine allthemodium, spawners, and sculk. Craft with copper, iron, and diamonds.Ore Sight Potions
From Potions Master. Mortar and pestle + ender pearl (crush) + raw ore + redstone + glowstone = ore sight powder. Blast furnace it, combine with mundane potions. 3 potions + 6 blaze powder = a toggle charm that highlights ores while mining.Magnet for Mining
Craft a magnet and set a keybind to toggle it. Prevents diamonds and other ore drops from falling into lava while mining. Essential for Deep Dark and Nether mining.Allthemodium Glows
Allthemodium ore glows in the dark, making it visible without shaders or night vision. Best found in Deep Dark biomes (use Nature's Compass to locate) or in the Mining Dimension around Y112.Inventory and Quality of Life
Trash Items Instantly
Press T in any inventory to open a trash slot. Drag items to delete them. Press Delete to trash the hovered item, or Shift+Delete to trash all stacks of that item type.Compress Item Stacks
Press K with a crafting table open to compress item stacks into block form (ingots to blocks, etc.). Shift+K compresses all stacks in the crafting grid at once.JEI Highlight Mode
Double-click the JEI/EMI search box to activate highlight mode. All matching items in your open inventory glow. Right-click the search box to clear. Extremely useful when looking for specific items in messy chests.Crafting Table on a Stick
Craft it, place it in your curios slot, and set a keybind for "Open Crafting on a Stick." You now have mobile crafting anywhere without placing a table.Packing Tape
Wrap any chest (including double chests) to move them as a single item with all contents intact. Place down to unwrap. Saves hours when reorganizing.Cardboard Box
From Mekanism. Right-click any block to pick it up, shift right-click to release. Works on spawners, machines, and almost anything. Recipe uses sawdust from a sawmill.Teleportation and Navigation
Essential Commands
/sethome and /home: Set a single teleport point (5-second cooldown). /back: Returns to your previous location (works after death). /spawn: Returns to world spawn.Grave Teleport
Combine your death key (Grave Key) with an ender pearl to teleport directly to your grave from anywhere. No need to retrace your steps after dying.Waystones
Found in villages. Break with a pickaxe, relocate to your base, and activate by right-clicking. Supports cross-dimensional teleportation. Free fast travel network.Nature's Compass
Crafted with logs, compass, and saplings. Right-click to search for any biome and get direction + distance. Essential for finding Deep Dark, Redstone Caves, or any specific biome.Explorer's Compass
Locates structures. Requires netherite, enderium, and echo shards. Find echo shards in Ancient City chests. Perfect for finding specific structures like villages, portals, or Ancient Cities.Warp Plates
From Ars Nouveau. Connect two plates for step-on teleportation. Works cross-dimensionally. Great for connecting your bases.Food and Survival
Infinity Ham
A relic found in village chests. Hover over it + hold Shift to open the research menu. Click abilities, connect stars, and use the lightbulb to spend XP to auto-solve. Infinite food forever once researched.Fruit Punch
Juicer (from Pam's HarvestCraft) + 3 apples = Fruit Punch. Best craftable food in early game for saturation.Wild Food
Look for wild onions on the ground and fruit in trees (pine nuts in taiga, apples in plains). Free food from day one, no farming needed.Feeding Upgrade
Upgrade for Sophisticated Backpacks. Auto-feeds you from items in the backpack. Pair with Infinity Ham or Everlasting Beef for permanent zero food management.Building and World Manipulation
Construction Stick
Place in hand, right-click a block face to extend blocks in that direction. Hold a different block in off-hand to place that type. Upgradeable with Battery Upgrade (uses power) or Unbreakable Upgrade via smithing table.Building Gadget
Press G to open the menu. Set specific dimensions for multiblock builds (Extreme Reactors, etc.). The Copy Paste Gadget duplicates entire multiblocks.Exchanging Gadget
Sneak right-click to set the target block, then swap blocks. Use Surface mode in the End to instantly grab obsidian from pillars.Destruction Gadget
Makes giant holes instantly. Does NOT destroy Allthemodium, Vibranium, or Unobtainium ores. Does NOT destroy chests (unless toggled). Use to clear villages and bastions for easy looting.Mega Torch
Stops all hostile mobs from naturally spawning in a large area. Place at your base for permanent safety. Dread Lamp does the same for passive mobs.Feral Flare Lantern
Auto-places phantom light sources to light up dark areas. Walk through caves with one and it lights everything automatically.Power Generation
Wind Generators
From Mekanism. Free, no input required, strong output for early game. Just place high up and they produce energy passively.Redstone as Free Fuel
Put redstone directly into Mekanism machine energy slots for free power. Works with the Metallurgic Infuser and other machines. No generators needed for early machines.Player Transmitter
From PowerUP. Wireless charging anywhere in the same dimension. Recipe needs just 1 ender pearl. Use a Binding Card (right-click to bind to self). Use the card on an Enderman for cross-dimensional wireless power.Energy Transmitter
From Just Dire Things. Wireless power for machines in a 5x5 area. Perfect for powering Growth Accelerators and scattered machines without running cables.Mob Farming
Dreadful Dirt
From Mob Grinding Utilities. Make Cursed Chicken Feed (spider eye + seed + bone + gunpowder + rotten flesh + 4 XP buckets). Feed to chicken to get Rotten Egg. Use on dirt in a dark 5x5 area. Toggle spawns with a torch, power with redstone clock for faster rates.Spawner Upgrades
From Apothic Spawners. Key upgrades: echo shards (extra loot drops), sugar (reduce delay), nether star (factory mode, ignores players), soul lantern (ignores light), pointed dripstone (reduce mob HP to 20%). Stack multiple for insane farm rates.Silk Touch Spawners
Any silk touch pickaxe (including the Steam Drill) can pick up mob spawners. Relocate them to your base for custom farms.Gateways to Eternity
Complete gates for massive mob drops. Start with the Enderman Gate (5 ender pearls + 1 blaze powder). Great source of ender pearls and other mob drops.Mob Swab
From Mob Grinding Utilities. 2 wool, swab a mob, combine with seed + bucket of experience = chicken feed. Feed to chicken = spawn egg of that mob. Works on almost everything.Experience Holder
From Just Dire Things. Best XP storage and collection. Set a collection area, toggle on/off. Easy source of Buckets of Experience for all your XP needs.Villager Tricks
Easy Villagers
Sneak right-click to pick up any villager. Place in a Trader Block with a workstation for a 1-block trading solution. Iron Farm block generates ~1 iron ingot/minute per villager. The Farmer block auto-grows and harvests crops.Market Block
From Farming for Blockheads. Red wool + planks + logs. Spawns an NPC selling seeds, saplings, and food for 1 emerald each. Includes aloe seeds (for slime balls), Ars Nouveau trees, and fruit trees.Resource Generation
Extractors
From Zycraft. Place on blocks to passively generate resources. Dragon head = dragon's breath. Dragon egg = dragon eggs. Charged Redstone Crystal Block = flux dust. Log or leaf = bioresin (converts to slime). 28 pages of extractor recipes.Infinite Lava
Dripping Upgrade in a Functional Storage fluid drawer = unlimited lava. Obsidian Upgrade in a regular drawer = unlimited obsidian. No power, no setup.Infinite Water
Easiest: Sink block. Or craft an Eternal Water Bucket via EvilCraft (weather container + rain). Eternal Water Block pushes max water flow without pipes.Bioresin to Slime
Extractor on log/leaf over a drying basin produces resin block. Craft resin block into resin balls, then recraft into slime blocks or slime balls. Infinite slime without a slime chunk.Cutting Board
Break blocks into component materials. Amethyst blocks into shards, smooth quartz into quartz. Useful for converting bulk materials.Snad for Fast Growth
Craft with 2 sand. Sugarcane and cactus grow at massively accelerated rates on Snad. Pair with a redstone clock for infinite resources. Works great as an Ars Nouveau source farm too.Sound and Light
Sound Muffler
Click the muffler button in your inventory to mute any specific game sound (e.g., iron golem dying). Shows recent sounds, fully searchable.Lapis Light
From Utilitarian. Client-side lighting only. Lights an area without preventing mob spawns or placing real blocks. Invert with a lever for always-on mode. Perfect for creative builds.Time Acceleration
Time in a Bottle
Stores time passively while in your inventory. Use on machines or crops to tick-accelerate them. Single player only (causes server lag). Best for speeding up early-game crafting.Time Wand
From Just Dire Things. Similar tick acceleration. Single player only. Good alternative if you have the materials.Supply Camp Starter Base
From MineColonies. Craft a boat + chest + white banner for a Supply Ship (or a chest + planks for a camp). Multiple styles available. The Crimson Keep style comes with emerald blocks, all saplings, and a vanilla moss farm. You can only place one per world, so choose wisely.
